One Weird Family 3

~What are we?~
Kim was awakened from her dreamless sleep by the movement next to her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Chocolate staring into her eyes. "Chocolate." She said.
Kim interpreted it of her way of saying 'Good morning'. She wondered why the child could only speak that one word, but could understand what they were saying. Maybe she wasn't around many people?
"Good morning Chocolate." Kim said as she sat up.
The red head thought that Chocolate wouldn't make a good name. Maybe Shego and her could come up with a name. Kim almost laughed aloud. It was like she was thinking of her and Shego as parents. She blushed a bit. Her and Shego? Hah, yeah right. She checked the clock that hung on the wall, it was seven in the morning, Shego was probably still asleep and Kim thought about repaying her for letting her stay for the night.
"How does breakfast sound like?" She asked the little girl who was still sitting on the couch as she watched Kim fold the blanket. The black haired girl nodded with a smile and hopped off the couch to join Kim in the kitchen.

Shego stirred in her sleep and frowned as she mumbled, "Mmm, smoke...burning..." Then she finally realized something was burning. The green villain jumped from her bed and went to run for the door to check on anything.
"Fi-UMPH!" Shego tripped on the blanket that had a grip on her foot.
She cursed and growled as she kicked it off and slammed open the door. Smoke wafted in the air, causing her to cough. She covered her mouth and nose, as she ran to check on the little girl and Kim. Her eyes widened when she found that they weren't there, then she heard coughing coming from the kitchen.
"Kimmie?!" Shego's yell was muffled because of her hand.
"In here!" She heard a reply from the kitchen, followed by more coughing.
Shego ran into the kitchen and saw that the food Kim was trying to cook was burning, and giving off a horrible smell. Shego carried Chocolate and brought her into a room safe from the smoke, and went back to deal with the supposedly breakfast made by the girl who can do anything.
Shego pulled out a fire extinguisher from the bottom cabinet and sprayed the small fire that was created. She waved her hand in the air at the smoke and when everything finally calmed down, she glared at the hero.
"Um...how about cereal?" Kim nervously smiled. Shego made no reply and left the other woman to check on the little girl. Chocolate was fine, and Shego decided to wait with her in the living room until Kim was finished with the three cereal bowls.
When Kim had finished pouring milk in every bowl, she entered the living room and found Chocolate sitting on Shego's lap. The little girl was giggling as she pulled on both sides of Shego's cheeks.
"Ow, stop that." Shego said and her eyebrows furrowed, but the little girl continued to laugh.
Kim leaned against the wall and smiled at the scene. Who knew Shego could be so good with kids? Kim always wanted kids, and this little girl was the closest to it. She couldn't bare to think about when they would have to give the child to another family to stay with. Maybe she could take care of the girl. Shego could visit her too, and it would be like they're really a family.
"Hey guys, breakfast is ready." Kim announced and smiled when Chocolate had unexpectedly hopped onto Shego's back when she stood.
"Bad choice kid." She said with her evil smirk. She then bolted off into the kitchen with the child yelling with excitement and thrill of the speed. Kim laughed and followed in after the two.

When the three had finished their breakfast, it was time for Kim to take her leave. "Thanks Shego, for letting me stay the night."
"Yeah yeah." Shego waved her off. When Kim turned to leave, Chocolate cried and hugged her leg.
"Come on kid, she's gotta go." Shego said and tried to pull her off Kim. The hero smiled sadly at the poor girl who looked up at her with teary eyes. She tugged onto Kim's hand and tried to pull her back inside.
"I'm sorry, but I don't live here." Kim told her. "You can stay here with Shego and I'll visit you. I'll even take you to my home sometime."
"No!" The little girl cried, surprising Shego and Kim that she could talk now. The little girl took this moment to grab bother Shego and Kim's hand and let them hold hands.
"Stay." She told them, as she held their hands that were intertwined to make sure they wouldn't let go.
Kim and Shego looked at their linked hands then to each other.
What are we Shego? Now that this child has come into our lives?
